DENTAL SURGERY IN CAPE TOWN, 1875

A Cape Dental Surgeon, Berks T Hutchinson, had much pleasure in announcing the services of Mr. Chas Danforth, a Specialist in the Art of Preserving Teeth by means of Pure Gold Filling. Mr. Danforth (DDS of the Philadelphia College of Dental Surgery and Member of the Colton Association of New York) had numerous engagements and it was necessary to make special appointments for operations. Consultations were free.

COLGATE DENTIFRICE


Already in 1875 Colgate Toothpaste was available in Cape Town. This Dentists’ Dentifrice was a Delicious, Antiseptic and Economical Dental Cream in Ribbon Form that could not roll off the Toothbrush and was sold everywhere.

EXPERT DENTAL MECHANIC

Sam Koonin, a Dental Mechanic situated in St. George’s Street, Cape Town, encouraged wearers of Artificial Teeth to have a Duplicate Set of their teeth made by his new process. 
He was able to replace White Artificial Teeth with Gold Teeth and could also insert Diamonds to give a very bright look. Gold Fillings in the artificial teeth would make them appear like natural teeth. He could also repair Broken Plates and would attend to orders by post.

Alfred J Koonin, Dental Expert situated in 35 Roeland Street, Cape Town, offered affordable Gold Filling for Artificial Teeth to have the look like Natural Teeth. Repair work would be done while waiting and he guaranteed best work and craftmanship.
